Dragons Business Club Christmas Charity Event

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Dragons Businessclub Christmas Charity Event will take place on Friday 6 December 2019. Following last year’s success, this year’s venue will be Kasteel de Wittenburg in Wassenaar. This wonderful and historical castle sets the scene for a spectacular Christmas Charity Event with entertainment, drinks and dinner.

As per tradition, the Christmas event of the Dragons Businessclub will be accompanied by a charity foundation. This year’s special organization is called: Hopeful hearts based in Guangzhou, Nanjing & Chengdu. A non-profit charity run by local Chinese and expatriate volunteers. Aiming to raise awareness and funds in order to provide life saving heart surgeries for children of low income Chinese families.

Admission fee

• Members of the Dragons Businessclub or NCBC: €65,- per person and can bring a guest along, free of charge!
• Members of VNC or Guanxi: €85,- per person.
• Non-member: €100,- per person.
Admission free includes a sit-down dinner, all drinks and one lottery ticket. The admission fee can be paid in cash or via pin at the registration desk.

If you cancel your registration after this date or if you have not notified us that you are not able to attend this event before that date, we will charge you for incurred costs of € 100, – per person.

Dragons Businessclub and Chinese Kredietunie Nederland (Chinese Credit Union The Netherlands) are delighted to invite you for this special event on Thursday 21 November in Amersfoort. This event will cover some of the modern ways of financing for and by Chinese and Dutch entrepreneurs. What are the possibilities nowadays to invest successfully in projects and also get a good return? Savings at the bank with very low interest rates has resulted in low interest income in the recent years and investing in shares carries more risks than a good return. Some new interesting developments such as crowdfunding and credit union funding have started to find their way to the Dutch market.

We organize this special event regarding the chances and possibilities of crowdfunding and funding via a credit union. This is a joint event between Chinese Kredietunie Nederland and Dragons Businessclub. This event starts from 17:00.

The Dragons Business Club and the Netherlands China Business Council organize a book presentation “Fabels over China” by dr. Jan van der Putten on Wednesday October 9th.

About the guest speaker

Dr. Jan van der Putten was from 1968 to 2003 correspondent in France, Greece, Latin-America, Italy, Eastern-Mediterranean and China. He worked a.o. for the NRC Handelsblad, Volkskrant, De Groene Amsterdammer.

In 2003 he established “Eyes on China”. He is an author (a.o. De Groene en Argus) and speaks on radio and during events in the Netherlands about China and Israël. He wrote 11 books about China. His latest book is called: ” Fabels over China: Hardnekkige westerse misvattingen over de nieuwe wereldmacht.’’ And covers Western misperceptions about China.
