Going Green – Clean energy

nov 5 -4

“Going Green”

Monday November 5th, 2018

The Edge Amsterdam – most sustainable building in the world

Dragons Business Club in cooperation with Deloitte Netherlands China Services Group (CSG)

Purpose:
This network event is for Sino-Dutch business partners who want to explore and to learn more about trends in sustainability and collaboration between Dutch and Chinese companies in this area.

Background:
China leads the world in clean energy. The nation has committed to adopting renewable energy technologies: According to Greenpeace, China installs an entire soccer field’s worth of solar panels and erects a new wind turbine almost every hour. In recent years, through a combination of subsidies, policy targets and manufacturing incentives, it has spent more on cleaning up its energy system than the US and the EU combined. Chinese companies seem to increase their goals and targets for the future of sustainable energy.

In the last years Chinese companies increasingly entered the Dutch market. These companies are innovative when it comes to going green and contribute to the sustainable economy. At the same time Dutch companies also bring sustainable innovations into the Chinese market.

Topics:
What are the trends in sustainability and clean energy, what can Dutch and Chinese companies learn from each other, how do they collaborate with each other, what subsidies exists for sustainable investments in the Netherlands?
