Dragons Businessclub co-created a successful annual Chinese New Year’s event with the Hollands-Chinese Kamer van Koophandel on February 24, 2015 in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in The Hague. View the pictures here.
Around 200 participants enjoyed food for thought, business networking and a festive lucky draw. Mr. Dongxu Zhang, Chairman of Hollands-Chinese Kamer van Koophandel, and Mr. Atom Zhou, Chairman of Dragons Businessclub, opened the event with best wishes for entrepreneurs to achieve win-win situations by expanding the Dutch and Chinese business platforms for fruitful cooperation.  Mr. Jaap Smit, King’s Commissioner of the Province of Zuid-Holland, foresees that the Dutch and Chinese developments will be intensified and closely linked due to centuries of cooperation and the ‘Dutch being the Chinese of the West’. Additionally, Mr. Gou Haibo, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, mentioned that more business opportunities will come due to the current reformation process in China stimulating vitality and dynamics for successful cooperation between Netherlands and China. Mr. Jim Morris from Schouten Global gave an interesting and interactive presentation about culture differences also questioning if the Chinese are the ‘nieuwe aardappeleters’ .

Dragons Businessclub Award 2015
Mr. Jaap Smit, King’s Commissioner of the Province of Zuid-Holland, awarded the Dragons Business Award 2015 to Webpower (digital marketing). Mr. Michiel Berssenbrugge, president of Webpower, received the award with great pleasure and thankfulness. Other nominees for the Dragons Business Awards 2015 were Dutch Bakeries (food sector) and Incentive Europe (tourism industry).

‘A winning effort begins with preparation’ Joe Gibbs. Save the date of April 22, 2015 if you aspire to increase your business opportunities. Next event will be an Asian Salon held at the Venduehuis in The Hague, one of the largest Auction Houses in The Netherlands, with a guided tour, information on the auctioning process and a Chinese diner buffet. Sincere appreciation goes to Mr. Chen Xu, Ambassador of China in The Netherlands, who attended the event.
